Hi, I have prostate cancer, not yet metastasized and am very interested in hemp oil as a treatment. Is there a trial I could become involved in? Or if I had to treat myself, what would be the best way to obtain THC laden hemp oil? I live in Alberta, Canada. Many thanks for any information you can provide. Best regards, Jim Delaney

We need Facts not what you are imagining the law will do. The fact is prop 19 is not legalization.

I have difficulty how you are saying pot will be legal when ALL of the same marijuana crimes that you can be arrested for will still be crimes ( except having a tiny 5x5 grow) and you will still be in danger of being arrested for them, especially since prop 19 specifically gives funds from "legal Distribution"(aka cronyism)for "enforcement against unauthorized activities"(prop 19- Section 11302 A. The 'unauthorized activities' refers to all the same marijuana crimes which are jail-able offenses now ( they will be crimes after it passes too, although under prop 19, some of the punishments increase.

The only real differences are two: First that you won't get a ticket for having under an ounce but you will still go to jail if you sell a joint, you will go to jail if you have over an ounce of weed, and you will go to jail if you grow a garden bigger than 5' x 5' under prop 19. How many people do you imagine are in jail for having a 5x5 garden in California now? ( not many certainly- almost all had bigger gardens than that, because 5x5 is ridiculously small). The other difference is that it will allow a small numbers of businessmen and corporations to grow huge amounts of pot and sell it legally, making them many millions of dollars a year.

To add insult to injury, Prop 19 also makes new marijuana crimes that didn't exist before and increases the penalties for some existing marijuana crimes and even making some new ones that can land you in jail. It is likely more people will end up in jail for marijuana crimes. It doesn't sound like legalization if the only change is instead of a ticket you can legally possess only up to an ounce, <b>after all, aren't we trying to help the people getting arrested and imprisoned for marijuana with this law? But even after passing 19 as 'Radical' Russ from NORML said about life if we pass 19, <i>"selling dime bags on the street will still get you time. Yes, growing more than 25 sq ft will still get you time. Yes, possessing more than one ounce will get you time.

Those things will get you time</b> NOW"</i> and then he suggests that we could still break the marijuana laws with respects to amounts of weed or the size of our gardens because they wont have a reason to get a warrant or harass pot growers and smokers , just like you suggest. That is not good enough, I don't want to be breaking the law I want REAL LEGALIZATION, and prop 19 just ain't it.

"IT IS THINLY VEILED PROHIBITION" is What Dennis Peron(author of prop 215) says about prop 19 and I agree with him.

Who will benefit? Under prop 19 , Section 11302 A

The taxes collected can be used to for "enforcement against unauthorized activities"(under prop 19). This refers to unlicensed grows, your neighborhood dealer and the usual suspects that are going to jail now..... and <b>this new law will give them more money to enforce the continuing drug war specifically for jail-able marijuana offenses.</b> That is not legalization. But it will ensure profits to the big grows in Oakland, by driving out competition. Also according to Agramed's Oakland Projections, they need to sell their pounds of weed for $2800 ( before taxes and before retail) to meet their projected profits according to their own estimates of production. That doesn't sound like a huge price drop... and that is before retail pricing and taxes.

I hope I can show you that this bill is compromised by the greed of those who wrote it.

TO REALLY LEGALIZE WE MUST FIRST DEFEAT 19

These are the facts about prop 19
